The girl at work is leaving to have a baby girl so I made a maternity leave card that we could all sign. I drew a baby in a pram and a washing line with baby clothes on it. I then added glitter and gems.
These tea-light holders were made by covering the vase or jam jar in strips of white mulberry paper and coating it in PVA glue. I then dripped paint on the vase tea-light holder whilst it was upside down to give it a light colouring. On a separate sheet of mulberry paper I stamped the designs I wished to use. I coloured the images in using pigment paints and cut them out. These were also added to my holders using PVA glue. I finished it all over with a final coat of glue and glitter in some places. My gingerbread men have green gems for their buttons, as well as a red gingham ribbon, two little bells and a wooden star coated in gold glitter to add some dimension and finish the items.
I made these cupcake bookends from wood. The cherries are made from air-drying clay and a piece of wire with a sticker for the leave. I used scrapbooking paper to make the cupcake cases and sprinkled iridescent glitter on the white paint whilst it was drying to make the frosting. I made sprinkles from pink and purple buttons. I attached the cupcake to the base and added some diamontes and pink pearls to decorate it.
This is the graduation card I made for Andrew. I made a silhouette of a male graduate and then added a red ribbon (his university's colour) decorated with 2 diamontes to make the hood and used some red thread to make the hat's tassel. I rolled up a small piece of card and tied it with another piece of thread. I added a silver card border strip that I had wrapped with yet another piece of the red ribbon. This time I finished it with some silver dots. I finally added Andrew's university logo to the bottom right-hand corner and a silver border to complete the card.
